30 Mile Brewing

30 Mile Brewing

A small brewery right off of I-95 that almost always has cookies available? Is this place meant to be? I think so.

Simple, short list of ingredients that you can recognize, you have to love that.

Every time I’ve stopped here I have a new beer that I enjoy. The first time I had sofa king juicy, which is a New England IPA that is a bit sweet and hazy like many of these new IPAs and a perfect blueberry sour. The second time it was Totes Blonde and it was totes delish. We have a cookie pairing for both that were awesome, coming soon. They also have a Fla-Mango IPA, with tons of puréed mango added. My expectations were muted on the fruited beer - most of the time when beers have a bunch of added fruit, it tends to fall flat of expectations. This was different - a huge mango punch in the face, surrounded by a great IPA.

The brewery is located in a super convenient spot near the highway. If you find yourself driving past the exit 67 on I-95, it is definitely worth a stop. 30 mile is a small isolated commercial spot, but they have a little patio right outside that was full of laughing patrons both times I’ve stopped. Inside the tap room, there is ample space and a big bar.

One of my favorite things at 30 mile is a small rack of baked yummies from The Drunken Baker. Sometimes they are taproom floor cookies (we paired them with a treehouse beer a while back) or M&M blondies, but last time it was fireball cinnamon cookies. Every time I’ve enjoyed the treats and found a beer that paired with them well. For right now, this is the most efficient beer and cookie experience, a one stop yummy shop.

The brewery just rebranded their can art so I’m gonna have to head back and make sure it all tastes the same, you know, for science.
