Tribus F#$K It and Scratch Sprinkle Cookies
Tribus has become, rather quickly, a rising star in our little part of the brewing world. They have had a pretty strong IPA game right off the bat and have been slowly expanding their horizons. We are psyched to see them grow and keep putting out some wicked beers. This is not our first Tribus pairing, a few others have really hit the spot. Check… them… out...
Beer: I mean who doesn’t love a beer that just screams, “who cares what you think!?” You gotta love it, of course, only if it’s good. This beer, coming in at a big old 10% ABV, is no joke. It is tasty and hoppy like the big bangers that keep rocking the Connecticut beer scene. The booze level was significant and this one kind of did me in. Tasty as heck, definitely one of those best drank fresh because of he big hop profile that will probably quiet down and be less pronounced as age hits the can.
Cookie: I got these little sugar crystal sugar cookies from Scratch bakery in Milford not too far from the brewery. They are buttery and crisp. They weren’t too sweet, which I liked, although the sugar topping was not my favorite.
Pairing: After finishing 16 ounces of 10% IPA it was hard to remember how it went with the cookie. I will say that what I remember of this pairing I remember fondly.
