NEBCO Elm City Pilsner and Pride Cookies from Four Flours
Beer: New England Brewing Company has become a standard on the Connecticut beer scene. Their Elm City Pilsner is their their non IPA flagship and it rocks. Their Sea Haag IPA is pretty rocking too. The Elm City Pilsner is a light crispy kind of brew that goes down easy and tastes the way that German styles beers should.
Cookie: I got this Prideful cookie from Four Flours in New Haven. It is a thick cut shortbread cookie with some yummy colorful frosting on top. The cookie itself was super tasty and crisp. The frosting had a little crunch the way that these types of piped frosting get. It was sweet and delicious.
Pairing: I’m thinking that Pilsners are my beer this summer and shortbread cookies are the best cookie for beers. So enjoying this pairing early in the summer time with one of the most BeerAble cookies around, this was a big time win win.
